Albert Pujols Autographed Baseball?

This Pujols autograph looks kind of shaky. Pujols supposedly does not sign much at all. The seller says that this was obtained "either at a card/autograph show or game and events" -- that seems pretty broad. We are not claiming this is fake but what is your take on this?

The seller of this fake (yes it is fake) Albert Pujols autographed baseball is the same seller as that fake Manning Family autographed football (he has sold over 100 of them). He has also sold well over 100 Ben Roethlisberger fake autographed footballs. The last time I looked he was selling four of these fake Albert Pujols autographed baseballs. Ebay will not do anything about him. He sells a ton of stuff which equates to a ton of fees. And , of course, as long as wannabe collectors buy his fakes he will stay in business. He claimed to me in a email that he buys his autograph items wholesale from a warehouse and he works out of his home. And yet he claims in his auctions he acquires his autograph items and I quote "All autographs were acquired either at card/autograph shows or games and events. This Ben autograph was signed in New York, before an NFL today taping, and my supplier has a photo taken at the time of the signing. I stand behind all autos 100%." So what he's saying is that "his suppler" manages to catch all of these athletes at events and they've each signed over 100 autographed footballs/helmets for him. What does he do, carry all of those footballs in his breifcase? Nope, they are fake.

Below is a email I received from seller "Sportsguy0208" who is selling a few fake autograph items:

hey idiot don't bother me with your lamb crap.forward it to whom ever you want. i know this is real and what you think don't concern me.go on a kiddie site and play games because i am no here to play games.it is a real autograph i go and get autographs all the time i am going to get the philadelphia phantoms today matter a fact.so don't bother me with your stupidied.

Reads like it came from kid rather than a adult.

You know, Chris, I find that the guys who sell fakes are usually the stupidest, drooling rednecks on the face of the planet. They are turds who are do used to committing fraud, that they are immune to our threats. I was at a show this weekend in St.Louis, and I counted 100+ Pujols fakes and actually saw a stack of Mantle signed photos in a bargain bin withnsome Jordans for under $200. I asked the guy about them and he said that he has so much stuff that he is basically giving it away for space concerns...dummy.

Another seller that I have complained about for a long time is seller "Simemorabilia." They've actually had some fake Sandy Koufax and Willie Mays autographed bats up for auction. Mr. Mays, of course, only signs bats that contain his own hologram. And Mr. Koufax barely signs for the card companies never mind fans. Wannabe collectors though keep bidding on that seller's fake items.

I wish I could say "that's incredible, Bigtruck," but unfortunately it is the norm these days. First you have the wannabe collectors who buy that garbage, and then you have the copycat sellers who figure that if others can get away with it then they can, too. And again, Ebay does nothing about it. Also, when you inform some of those wannabe collectors that they just won a fake autograph item of their favorite player they get very defensive. Because deep down inside they probably know that they own a fake but don't want to admit to it.

Hey, Bigtruck, and everyone else, go check this seller's other items on Ebay. I no longer see the Pujols baseballs or any signed football items that aren't PSA. Did Ebay finally remove them?

somebody finally let out "baseballdome's" secret in his feedback! i would have never believed his autographs were fakes! (sarcasm) if you're going to sell fake autos on ebay, atleast make sure that every card isn't 2006 topps. that's pretty shady itself, let alone having a never ending supply of signed cards. what a punk. i think you're best bet is to either buy a signed insert card that is authenticated by the card company, buy from a trusted dealer such as steiner, or get it signed in person. those are the only ways you can be safe anymore. i just picked up an authentic signed derek jeter card for under $80

That's because seller "Baseballdome" is an old Ebay seller who has resurfaced. That's how I caught him last time. He had fake autograph cards from boxes of cards he purchased and he would just autograph each one himself. GReat observation.

Yep - They got him, or forced him to only list under the Pre-Auth. section. He just lost 90% of his income because posters are not gonna do it....get 'em.

First of all even putting some of these sellers in with rednecks is speaking to highly of them.I have found that when contacting winners of these fake autographs it is nice not to say that it is fake outright, but it is better to suggest it just looks a little fishey and maybe they should check it out for thier own benefit.A letter like you recieved Chris would infuriate me to the point where i would contact every customer of his present and past to put a fire on his butt he would never forget.Call it unproffesional in me or what you will these Ebay sellers tear at my soul when i observe them flooding the market with this garbage.

I have been noticing these retards bid on each others garbage too.REDSPORTS604 uses MAXWSIMMONS to shill bid alot i believe. Both are out of Missouri, what a coincedence.Redsports had used 05TKD05TKD05 until Ebay put a stop to it i guess.Seller MIK0087 has revived phoney items bearing certificate of authenticitys from my favorite non-existent company Platinum Sports again. He supports BASEBALLDOME in bogus bids at times.330043909240 is just one of the numerous Cardinal autographed items this snake is unloading on people looking for World Series Champions items.

You guys may also want to check the fake autogrpah items from seller "s$sautographs." Literally thousands of fakes. I've been complaining to Ebay about them for a long time. I've also complained about seller "MIK0087" who is selling that garbage from "Platinum Sports." And believe me, all of these sellers know each other.

My last posting was on mikoo87.He claims Platinum Sports the one his seller is getting them from is in Philidelphia. They have no store.I guess the sign out of the basement.

The original seller of those fake autograph items with a COA from "Platinum Sports" came from a seller from California. I will look back at my notes to find out the name of that seller. One fact though: Anything with a COA from "Platinum Sports" is a definite fake. The people that are selling them now are the ones that bought them from the original seller. And another seller to be aware of is seller "Norcalgraphs." Thanks to the previous post for that item number. Their (Norcalgraphs) autograph items are also all fake.

NORCALGRAPHS also has a Ebay screen name JSMITH9648 to help shill bid this garbage.

Thanks, Sportshonesty, I reported the shill bidding to Ebay. Doing this kind of work helps if we all work together and I appreciate the support. Thank you.

Do you ever wonder if Platinum sports is a forgery ring? I have seen so many certs from them that I am fairly sure it is. Minahsports sells about 20 Pujols cards every week...same pen...same signature (no variation, and it is an OLDER version, not an updated Pujols sig)and same placement. I have seen Koufax, Ryan, Ichiro, McGwire, etc...all with Platinum certs. I wish I could physically harm these people.

At 10:35 PM , Blogger sportshonesty said...

Physical harm would not bother them. You do as i try, hunt them down and make getting money from them a nitemare. You hit thier pockets and than they really cry.Platum Sports i believe is a forgery ring.To the guy who was scared that the one bogus ebayer might find out his name i say this...If you stand by and watch persons or yourself get taken advantage of you are of very little backbone. To sit by and do nothing is truely a crime. To the crroks who read this blog i am not hard to find, for my name on here and my Ebay id# are one in the same.In case you crooks still may have trouble finding me i am Tom Lotts from Illinois.

Hitting them in the wallet is where to get them. These sellers (and they entail both men and women) sit at home buying baseballs, footballs, photos, helmets, etc., and signing the items themselves. Not to mention the fact that hundreds of sellers cannot get a decent price for their legitimate autograph items.

I'm not a professional authenticator however I do collect a lot of Pujols items and your right that looks a little rough, the pen speed seems to be off. If you want to compare this with some real Pujols autographs I have several that are JSA approved you can view at www.omniauctions.com

How could JSA approve the Pujols autograph on Ebay item #250018668751? Have they gone money hungry and will pass anything?

I have seen someone wrote they thought s$sautographs is a fake but I think their autographs look real and would have to disagree with your comments, what do you others think

At 6:05 PM , Blogger RealorFakes said...

let me know what some of you others think, thats why I believe ebay has done nothing to s$s because they are real autos for the most part, i have seen some ones that look a little fishy like his A ROD that he listed but for the most part they look good

I saw chris you think s$sautograph sells fake autos but I think for the most part they are real, although i have seen a few ones that look a little fishy like his A ROD ball he listed last season but what do you others think about him.
