Albert Pujols, Edmonds, Mulder, Rolen Signed Baseball with Upper Deck and MLB Authentication
This signed baseball is being offered in an eBay auction and the auction guarantees that the item will pass authentication with Jimmy Spence authentication or PSA. The baseball has both the Upper Deck and the MLB hologram. We have received e-mails from our readers saying that some sellers are switching holograms.
Although we are definitely not experts on Pujols autographs, the seller is guaranteeing that this item will pass authentication and holograms are usually difficult to remove and then put on another item. On the surface I would think that with both holograms on the baseball, you'd be pretty safe on this one, but I could be wrong.
Although feedback does not guarantee authenticity, you have to admit that the seller has over 5000 positive feedbacks with absolutely no negatives, which is pretty impressive.
I know that some people from the Pujols Foundation read our blog so maybe they could voice their opinion about these autographs...

The below "Quick Opinion" result is an item from Ebay Seller "Skybolt11." Their autograph items are all very questionable. None of them look authentic, not even the GAI items.

1 - Close...nice effort.
2 - Piss poor (Minahsports has sold 100 of this exact same sig.)
3 - same seller as #2...
4 - 4 fakes all in a row. This guys has a marketing plan in place.
5 - From a forgery ring in Vegas. This sig is common on photos of Pujols/Rolen. I see them in STL all the time.
6 - GAI would pass it. If you go to signaturedreams.com (fakes galore) you will probably find this exact sig. Actually, this is the best forgery of the bunch...would probably fool a novice collector. Seller

Sells this one al the time. To a card store that I used to frequent in ST. Louis. Look at his history.
7 - Nice try. 3 different eras of Pujols. All the same sig...horrid.
8 - Worst one I have seen yet.
9 - Looks like a Fansindastands sig - and ALbert rarely signs jerseys. If it is under $1,000 stay away immediately.
10- Funny LOA - Offical League and MacGregor balls are a waste of time...even for fake sigs.
11 - Pretty close to hurried Pujols sig - but still no cigar.
8 is the worst followed by 10. Nice post.
Jeter_Sucks...
You should report them for that. It is a violation to avertise through the eBy message system...isn't it?
I just saw another auction of theirs in Tuff Stuff...a 1915 Red SOx team signed ball with Tris Speaker and Ruth...5 grand. Morales Authenticated.
If I was the consignor, I would wonder why the failed to use a more reputable source. If PSA or JSA authenticated it (anyone is better than Morales or STAT) it would have done better. I would like to hear what Batter-Up Collectibles has to say about that one...
Great information guys. I first want to write that Ebay removed all of autograph auctions from seller "Allrealnice." Aside from two of them failing "Quick Opinion" miserably, they all looked horrible and unconvincing. And, Bigtruck, I agree with your synopsis of those ten Albert Pujols auctions. That one is definitely a "Fansindastands" specialty." And, Jeter_Sucks, please report that Ebay violation from Lee at Coaches Corner. If there is a "Operation Bullpen" I hope the agency looks into the activity of Coaches Corner. It is incredible the garbage they auction off. Them (Coaches Corner) and Tuff Stuff should be ashamed of themselves. Especially with Tuff Stuff because it's all about the advertising dollars and not the integrity of autograph collecting. They both have a lot to answer to.
Jeter_Sucks, would you give me permission to send that copy in a email to Coaches Corner? Let me know. Thanks.
you know big truck i thought about that with them sending me a message through ebay which is a automatic suspension for a non powerseller.
his ebay i.d. had no feedback and probaly doesnt really care if he gets booted so i didnt waste my time.
just ask chris is doesnt take that much work to get a new user id cause he sees the same people he gets booted right back on another name.
im actually very surprised about one of the companys he mentioned on the list(i will leave anonymous)that they chose coachs corner.i just dont want any trouble for example when they get busted(hopefully)by the law i dont want them looking into all the companys they deal with thinking this is some kinda of forgery ring and have my name pop up in the middle because i let them sell my products
it only takes one strong acusation to ruin a guys name in this business so im very careful who i so business with in front of the public eye
also not suprised to see elite sports selling on coachs corner
you can now add fake gamer's to there mickey mantle 7 insc's bats
maybe elite will let chris morales or stat(arent they the same people)authentic some game used babe ruth underwear or ty cobbs toothpick
chris you can use any information on here i post for your benfit.
i got some real interesting stuff i discovered about another seller who has resurfaced on ebay but im actually trading emails with anther promoter to get some facts straight about a signing before i call this seller out on here.will write more later tomorrow
Coache's Corner sent me the same e-mail last week. Needless to say, it was an automatic delete. As for that Ruth ball---and all the other Ruth autographed items that they have had in their past two auctions---they ALL failed PSA Quick Opinion. I have to admit, they had some that really looked good, but they all failed.
If there is a "Operation Bullpen 2" it doesn't have to be limited to the bad sellers on Ebay. I can see other entities being investigated. Based on the autograph items I've seen on the Coaches Corner auction, and some of the items advertised in Tuff Stuff, it would warrant an investigation into that entity.
I thought so. A 1915 Red Sox ball with those names on it(even on a non-official ball) should go for more than 5 grand. Someone is going to be mad in few years when they plan to retire...and can't give that ball away.
As far as that LIST from Coach's Corner - I am personally suprised to see Joe Coppola and Sports Integrity listed as a consigner. I have supported his business since I began posting here, but I am having second thoughts now. If you are going to put the word INTEGRITY in your name...sharing business with a company like CC, is the farthest thing from it.
I know he reads this, and I hope he can help us to understand why he made the decision to join forces with CC....
Below is a "Quick Opinion" result of an item from Ebay Seller "5422timothy." Their autograph items are highly questionable (some are downright ugly). They also have a second Ebay ID and that ID name is "hard_2_find126" who we have previously mentioned in this blog. Below is an email I received from seller "5422timothy."
My husband is out of town at the moment, attending his sisters funeral, but if I may, I might be able to shed some light on your question. Tim is the President of Sports Mania Inc. a company he and his ex-wife started in 1998. They had five retail locations in NW Ohio and SE Michigan, but they were divorced last year and they split what was left of the business. Tim is an accepted authenticator through Beckett. His actual profession is Chemical Engineering. He has been in this business for many years and has made many contacts through agents, PR people and the athletes themselves. As for the way he came about this particular piece is fairly interesting...as I mentioned, tim is a chemical engineer and he designed the Polyurea Coating that Owen Redwine used to coat the tigers that are on either side of the score board at Comerica Park, Tim has forged many friend ships with the people in maint. as well as management, and he is able through these contacts to attain many signatures at that location. As for any of the signatures, everything is guaranteed and if a person is not happy with them they will easily get a refund.
I hope I have answered at least part of your question and if you have anymore I will try to be as helpful as possible. Tim was very close with his sister and she just lost a battle with cancer, but I'm sure he will be back soon.
thank you,
Melissa.

The Pujos/Carp/Rolen hat was horrible. The whole carncer response means zero coming from a dishonest seller like that. If his wife is not in on the scam, I could understand that response - but I have a feeling he is going to have some explaining to do if that is the case...I emailed her as well.
I see that Ebay Seller "Suprby65" has now begun listing "1-day" auctions for his fake autograph items. I have proved in the past that seller "Suprby65" is selling autograph items that are highly questionable. The truth is, his Jeter autograph items are downright ugly.
Although Ebay booted seller "5422timothy," I don't understand why they haven't booted seller ID "hard_2_find126." Of course, "5422timothy" and "hard_2_find126" are the same person. Ebay ID "hard_2_find126" is selling the same fakes as their other ID ("5422timothy").

whats the latest news on the Cardinals cancer guy?
Cards cancer person...in the words of the immortal Phil Collins: "No reply at all".
It is still as bad as ever out there...and I have noticed that many of the eBay stores have newly included forgeries to avoid being detected in the auction searches.
Good news is, several users have good items out there...
Check out sidsgraphs.
Also, I noticed that ESPauctions is back. Nice items, all real from what I can tell. I think they got in trouble for using knock off photos instead of licensed ones..but, as usual, someone will correct me and tell me that they were selling fakes too - I just never saw them.
Nice to hear from someone - it's been a while!
J-Man, good point again. Ebay Seller "dqbean252" continues to sell his fake autograph items even though I've proven to Ebay that he is selling fakes. None of his autograph items are authentic.
Check out the really horrible fake autograph items by Ebay Seller "redbraveman."
Ebay Seller "redhorde74" continues to sell his infinite supply of fake autographed baseball cards. He has an endless supply of both Jeter and Pujols autograph card. They have all been and continue to be bad fakes. Check out Ebay Item Number 270115230372.
I havent posted much here in the past. I check in about everyday to see whats going on. I dont have the money to send items into Quick Opinion that I'm not trying to buy. I just wanted to make a suggestion to the people that do send items into Quick Opinion. Concentrate on all the fake Josh Hancock items popping up now after his tragic death last night. All these heartless assholes that are trying to make a few $$$$ off of his death should be stopped.
does anybody know if this is real?
i would hope a company that had a joe dimaggio signing would have a more professional looking COA, rather than something that looks like it was handed out in elementary school about a YMCA summer sports program
check out item # 160111518403
as a phillies collector, i am pretty much offended by how poorly these signatures are forged. i think if i were to forge signatures, i would at least learn what someones looks like before putting it on a baseball.
when i saw the title for this item, i was excited, until i looked at the pictures. i have signed cards and balls of every player on this ball, and the closest matched signature is ryan howard. every other name written on this ball doesn't match at all.
i wonder why the seller has the user ID kept private
check out the david wright ball being offered by the seller of the phillies team signed ball # 160111522111.
just like his phillies autographs, this is not even close.
this is what i emailed to him:
"this signature isnt even close to david's. the phillies signed ball is an obvious fake as well.
just to let you know, you have been reported to ebay for selling fakes.
also as a warning, it is illegal to sell forged signatures. tagged along with that that charge is also mail fraud, because you will be using the usps to deliver your items to the buyers.
thanks, have a nice day.
hope your stay on ebay was a good one."
As most of us already know, Ebay seller "jfgauctions" is a "Unregistered" user on Ebay for the fakes he was selling. This past weekend I noticed he was once again selling on Ebay under user ID "buyfromme128." In his auctions he was using stock photographs from companies like Steiner Sports, etc. I complained to Ebay immediately and just noticed that his Ebay ID of "buyfromme128" is now "Unregistered" on Ebay. Although Ebay acted quickly to rid Ebay of this seller, my question is "how and why was this seller allowed back on?"
Hey, J-Man, I have a feeling I know who "memorabiliaandcards" is. Sounds like that ring from PA which included and includes a lot of both ex-Ebay sellers and present Ebay sellers. And yes, their autograph items are absolute fakes, especially that really horrible David Wright.
suprisingly, "memorabiliaandcards" has yet to respond to me.
i was hoping that they would at least reply and curse me out for reporting them.
since they have the'r bidder IDs kept private, they must know that sellers of forgeries pretty much have diplomatic immunity on ebay; at least for the time being. after bullpen 2, i know things will be more strict. i'd hope so.
Hey,J-Man, they (memorabiliaandcards) didn't reply to my emails either. Hey guys keep an eye on Ebay Item Numbers 150117830091 (from Ebay seller "c-hill16") and 320108422598 (from Ebay seller "motgs1").

CardsFan -
I noticed the increase in Hancock memorabilia. Some of it is from legit sellers in the STL area. Unlike Pujols, Josh was accessible to the fans....even when out in public. His autographed MLB balls were selling for 10-15 dollars before Sunday...I saw two go for over 100 (non authenticated) earlier in the week. Anything with a World Series logo attached to it is going to forever bring a preminum - kinda like the Kile items still do.
HOWEVER - I also saw many sellers putting up Hancock memorabilia that looked questionable...even though Josh has a scribble. It is a shame that people want to take advantage of the situation. I have read listings that say things like:
"Sadly, Josh died this weekend in a car crash, He will be missed...but you can pick up this authentic signature to remember him by. It will only go up in value. I am donating the money from this sale to his family in Miss."
Sure.
Ebay seller "pjuice1757," who is the seller of many fake Tiger Woods and David Beckham autogrpah items has changed his Ebay ID to "js1757."

i knew it was fake, however i was hoping that ebay would cancelthe auction, which they didn't.
the high bid was $53, and the reserve was not met. since it is fake, i bet he will sell it for that price. it's a shame that ebay didn't cancel it because someone who obviously did no research at all on the signatures they were buying will be wasting money on a piece of crap. and a piece of crap seller is making easy money.
after i emailed the seller (memorabiliaandcards) i got no reply, however he did add "proff" pictures to the auction. funny how he has proof pictures, yet none of the signatures look like the athletes real signature.
and i think forging a sal fasano signature is definately rock bottom. c'mon.. it's sal fasano.
Here is something t think about - eBay didn't use to automatically remove items that failed PSA/DNA quick opinion. Now that they do it seems that MANY MANY MANY more items fail their service - Reason why - because then sellers have to send their items to PSA and pay a large fee to get them authenticated. I had 3 items removed from eBay because of PSA - of course when I submitted them to PSA and paid them their $ they all of course passed - COINSIDENCE? - I don't think so. PSA fails almost all GAI items (even items I have acquired in person - so YES they were real). Here's the problem, you can't ask re-sellers to use GAI (it is listed 1st on ebays accepted authenticators) and spend tousands extra on pre-authenticated items and then have the items removed and suspend service for using an eBay approved company. PSA in my opinion has a motive especially since they have started to say that UDA and Steiner items are fake. I don't know why after all the trouble PSA has gone through (we all know how big of s scam their card grading service was not to mention the thousands of Auction House letters that they "lost") that their $7 service overrules GAI or better yet UDA and Steiner. If they can mess up on UDA and Steiner items then you really have to think. I am not saying GAI is any better, but they don't offer a $7 service that cost honest sellers millions of dollars to have their so called "likely not genuine" items into PSA just to have them pass. The real kicker is that eBay will suspend your account for failed items even tough they are GAI - Steiner - UDA and send you an email and tell you to send them to GAI - I THINK I KNOW WHY JIMMIE SPENCE started his own company!
